Programme Outline

Week One: During the first week of this programme, you will learn various methods for training your dog to follow a planned track, as these concepts are essential for all aspects of future training. We appreciate that every dog and owner is unique, so we teach several techniques to ensure that the training is tailored to your specific needs. Our aim is to assist you and your dog in mastering the fundamental concepts of tracking.

Week Two: This week's focus is on developing advanced tracking techniques and introducing the opportunity to engage in ‘Lost Dog’ Tracking or ‘Conservation Tracking’. Did you know that Dr Rob has successfully trained conservation experts to find an endangered species in South Africa? He also trained the first licensed and proven ‘Lost Dog’ trackers, who have found and reunited many missing dogs with their owners?

Week Three: You will have the opportunity to develop your tracking skills while also learning how to coach and instruct others. You will receive training that will help you to create and design your own Tracking Programme for your pet dog guardians, or to enhance your lost dog or conservation tracking abilities. The lessons will cover a variety of topics, including adult learning theories, classroom skills, and the creation of a safe learning environment for both dogs and humans.
