Programme Outline
Week One: During the first week of this program, you will learn different methods for training your dog to follow a planned track. The program covers various aspects, including track planning, the ‘D’ Parameters of Tracking, and an introduction to 'The Team Track' for future courses. We understand that every dog and owner is unique, so we teach several techniques to ensure that the training is tailored to your specific needs. Our goal is to help you and your dog become a successful 'Tracking Dog Team'.
Week Two: This week's focus is on developing advanced tracking techniques and the tracking assessment. The advanced techniques will cover hard surface tracking, finding your starting point, articles on and off-track, and an introduction to 'animal tracking'. Keep in mind that this is a fully supported program, and we are available to assist you throughout your journey.
Week Three: During Instructor Week, you will have the opportunity to enhance your tracking development skills while also learning how to coach and instruct others. You will receive training that will assist you in creating and designing your own Tracking Programme. The lessons will cover various topics, including adult learning theories, classroom skills, and creating a safe learning environment for dogs and humans.
